p1411 and p1411 need som advice

Default p1411 and p1411 need som advice

got 2000 a6 2.7 with p1411 and p1423 codes on it, scanned it and looks like its a evap system thing, dealer replaced the air pump codes keep comming back, wondering if i can fix it alone?

P1411 and p1423 are secondary air injection codes... If the air pump has been repalced it is either a vacuum line, a valve, or a plugged air line to the manufold. Since both sides are showing codes it probably not one of the valves.

I would guess that 75% of the problems with Sec Inj codes are vacuum lines

Thanks, how do I find vaccum lines, do you like a picture of the engine showing where the vaccum lines are??? i m lost with this thing

The pump is low on the left front of the vehicle with a large (1" os so) plastic feed line going to the front upper center of the motor. It feeds two black valves. connected to the valves are small vacuum lines.


PS - Get a Bently manual -- It tells all --OK almost all ---OK it tells most of the impotant stuff..
