Unhappy Parting out or selling intact?

I put my 2000 A-6 2.7T into a boulder field in Schuylkill county last week... (OK, Just shoot me...)

214,000 miles, runs (ran) great, chipped, AMSOIL transfusions annually. Champaign color inside and out.

New water pump/timing belt this spring.

Damage is mostly undercarriage. I have photos if interested.

Crushed driver side hoses, wires, oil filter. Turned it off on impact, so was not run without oil.

Open for suggestions. Is on Craigslist Harrisburg with pics.

It's a shame seeing one of these high mileage babies go down. Was it original turbos? I'm at 181k and wondering.

Part it our. Otherwise, someone will buy it, fix as little as possible, then resell it to some unsuspecting sucker. Besides, you can make more money parting it out, if you have the time.

I would concur with Bob if you have the time and space for the car. Also, you may want to check with your local government regarding derelict vehicles.

I wanted to ask this ever since you posted:
if it was running perfectly and you took minutious care of it, why don't you just FIX IT if the damage is so minimal?
An oil cooler isn't that expensive (if that's the only damaged thing in the filter area), and the hoses can be replaced easily as well.
What wires are damaged?
