Picked up my first Audi

Just picked up a 2006 Dark Metallic Blue A6 3.2 Auto w/ 50k on the clock. Love this car so far. I have never had a german car before and can't believe what I've been missing out on :)

Previous owner also had a 2010 front bumper/grill installed which makes it look much nice. The dealer couldn't even tell the car was a 05 w/o the looking at the vin lol

Besides some issues w/ one of the window motors and the MMI bluetooth having a mind of its own, I love this car!

They are sweet cars. Just do the maintenance, don't expect it to be a race car, and enjoy it. If you live in the snow belt, you will be really impressed.

Congrats! I just picked my first Audi just about a month ago 07 Audi A4 2.0T S-Line, I love it...I was eery of getting one...havent hear alot of good things, in the past. One thing I am doing differently on this bad boy is not raping it like I did on my BMW 325CI and maintenance.

Care to share some pictures?

the window issue is probably the clips . great youtube vid on replacing window clips. took me an hour total.
cost me 25.00 for two clips from Audi and we get raped here in Canada so they will probably cost you half that

I will have to check that out, thanks. The dealer replaced the regulator and lubed the tracks up. When the window gets 3/4 of the way to the top one side moves just a little quicker then the other and thats when it goes down. If happens so quick that if you are not really paying attention you will never see it happen.

Oh i already have a loud pain in the ass race car, this purchase was for something fun and functional that is wayyyyyyyy on the other side of the spectrum lol. It takes me where i want in luxury w/o noise and fuss, thats all i want. I was looking at a G8 gxp as well but am very glad i choose this over one of those after getting the A6

This is the only decent one I have now. I baby the hell out of this car. I do like to get it on the highway from time to time since the seem to push hard w/ zero effort and the handling is so dead on. Can't resists lol

still need to do something to hide the support beam behind the grill though
