Planning to Buy - Help?
 

I am planning to decide between a Audi A6 2000 Quattro, which has clocked about 51K miles but is in immaculate condition and an 2003 Accord V6. I prefer the Audi A6, but this is going to be my first car and am worried about how much I might have to spend for the maintenance. I know nothing about cars. I have read numerous posts about the problems that Audi owners have faced with poor service etc and also the cost involved in maintaining these cars. Would love to hear from someone.

If you can get the Audi with an extended service contract, get it. Otherwise, get the Honda.

Thanks. I had decided to buy the Honda Accord and have booked a New One even though I have fallen in Love with the Audi. Will go for it as a second car after a year or so.

Great choice. The Audi A6 will give you a wealth of headaches and problems.

FWIW, I recommended the Honda primarily because you said you know nothing about cars. It sounded like this would be your first real car. Better start with something easy.
