Default Please help flooded tcm 00 A6 4.2

After a very heavy rain the other day (i live in seattle)i got in my car to go to the store and my a6 went into limp mode. I found the leak was comming in between the windshield and cowl and water had flooded the passenger side of my a6. I have lifted up the carpet and been drying everything out for the last couple days. When I pulled up the tcm from the passenger footwell water poured from its waterproof container. I placed the tcm in a bag of rice and I am hoping to dry it out and maybe give it a shot to see if it will work tonight..I have a couple of questions and concerns im hoping someone might be able to address...First i have the rare 4b0 927 415 bs tcm so if anyone has one they want to sell I would be very interested??????

next if i replace the module with a used one instead of a new module will I still have to program it..i understand this is a dealer only reprogramming???? I do not have a vag computer to check pids or codes so my other question is If I want to test the original tcm I pulled out to dry is there a way to test it to see if it works???any suggestions or leads on a 4b0 927 415 bs module would be greatly appreciated...thank you for the future help

Suggest you pull ALL carpet in vehicle as well as the back seat. Had the same issue and the vehicle was inundated with water. Chances are you have water entering through clogged sunroof drains if you have a sunroof, not that they're necessary in SEA. Or it's coming in through your AC/fresh air vent under/behind glove compartment. This is a notorious issue with Audi. The way the chassis channels inside vehicle are designed you may think the water is confined to the front of the vehicle but I can assure it's not, if you have water in front you have water in back. The channels allow for water to flow freely front/back, left/right. Good luck !

The leak was comming from my cowl or as etka calls it water deflector. It was bent up a little bit and allowed tons of water to get through when we had a heavy raining last week. I checked my sunroof drains and made sure the drains under the battery were clear. The leak was deffinetly from my windshield cowl and it flooded the front and rear of my passenger side. Everything has been dry for about a week now as I pulled up carpet immediatly..Unfortunatly my tcm was taking a bath in the water before I got to it. I am waiting on my tcm now it should arrive monday, picked one up from force 5 for $700 plus shipping. I am hoping and praying this fixs my problems and I can get my car on the road soon.
pulled codes 18265, p1857,18056, p1648,16497,16486,18032 when I turned on the vehicle after everything dried out..
