Default Possibly the coil, mabey spark plugs (Have no idea what seas foaming is)

Hi guys,

I'm a 1998 A6 2.8 30v owner. it has just surpassed 150k. I'm having warm low RPM acceleration hesitation and spuddering, as well as spuddering while idling. I believe it is either the coil burning out, or my plugs. Could you please let me know what it is from your experience. As for "Seafoam" I've had some concussions so yeah, please explain in detail relevant to fixing my car . Thank you very much.

Regards,

-Cale

Sounds like an MAF, but could also be the spark plugs, vac lines, fuel filter...

besides the vac lines and MAF when is the last time you changes the others?

You are probably due for a tuneup. Coils, plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, and etc. If you are planning to seafoam the car, then do the tune up after the seafoam.

FYI, in somecases with high mileage cars, doing seafoam in crankcase can introduce new oil leaks I hear. Gas tank and intake is no problem.

id say dump the seafoam in the gastank b4 u change ur fuel filter and also dump it in your intake and then be prepaird for 150k of gross stuff coming out your exhaust ... you will probably cover your neighborhood with smoke haha but the stuff works

Hx is right, but if you are low un cash try spark plug wires and plugs for first and the prob will most likely go away, for the rest you may go slow unless the prob persist.

i had all you have but without the pop out of the exhaust, i seafoamed (trial though so consider is a mini seafoam) and yielded great results. Got rid of the hesitation and spuddering.
My car was freakishly fast and the check engine light came on for the whole night.
Next morning woke up check engine light was gone, and I feel like im driving a brand new car!

What do I need to do to get the codes to check it???? If there is anyone is Ottawa, Ontario could you please let me know and or give me a hand. Thank you.
