Default Power steering fluid leak - repair

1998 A6 Quattro 30v

In the process of changing my radiator I have noticed that the power steering fluid is leaking out of the 2 connections of the cooler on the front of the car. I think I maybe able to disconnect the hoses cut off about .5 inch and reattach the hoses to the cooler. Has anyone had this same issue? Also do I need to to anything special when disconnecting the hoses on the power steering fluid cooler?

Thanks

If you still have the OEM clamps on the hoses that's probably the culprit. I cut one hose back a little and the other I didn't. Just replace the clamps with the American screw clamps and you'll be golden.

I put one of the screw down clamps on the on end that looked like it had a small leak. Then I topped off the fluid. Thanks for your help.

Change those OEM hose clamps to the screw ones if they can turn by your screwdriver pushing. This means oem clamps are losing its strength.
