It's probably the clips. If you have a small mirror they are quite easy to inspect. You could also look for pieces of plastic at the bottom of the inside of the door. If you can find somewhere to buy to clips separately I would go for it.
I'm not sure what you mean with this.
Also I know I will break off the clips when I take down the door panel.
