Default Problem with vibrating brakes

Help! I have a 97 A6 Quattro wagon, and when I'm braking, just before I come to a complete stop, the front brakes starts vibrating and dragging. I had the front rotors replaced and it helped some, the brake pads are almost new, but it is still doing it. Can this be caused by the ABS brake sensor, and what can be done to fix it? Help much appreciated.

Default RE: Problem with vibrating brakes

Well, normally I'd suggest warped rotor, but since they are new... Only thing I can think of is a siezed caliber, or its loose. I assume the person that did the bakes knew what they were doing. Check supension too, maybe a tie-rod end or control arms with play can cause this. Possibly bent rim.. but you'd feel this on the highway too.

ABS sensor can't cause vibration, it just measures the speed the wheel is turning, usually with either magnetics or IR. Either way, it doesn't having any moving parts.
