I am looking for a 2004 A6 S-Line with a manual transmission to replace my 1995 90 Quattro. Most of the manual transmissions I see are standard A6's, not S-Lines. How much difference in handling is there between the S-Line and the non S-Lines? I know there is a 15 hp difference.

 

I am guessing that the '94 S-line is actually an '04 S-line you are looking for?

I do not have an S-line, but an 03 A6 2.7t. You will receive passionate responses about the great things about the S-line over a regular 2.7t.

Do youplan on making modifications to the car? If so, and one of those is a chip, the extra HP is not preserved after chipping according to most. Do a search for that subject if it concerns you.

I need to fire my proof reader. I did mean a 2004 A6 S-Line. Since the S-Lines only exist with the Tiptronic, I would still like to here about the differences in handling between the S-Line and a standard A6.

Very smal differences b/w the two.
ot worth the initial $ diff, but on the used market the $ diff decreases.. JUST get the best 2004 2.7t you can get with the tranny, options, colors... that best fit your needs/wamts.. regardless of S line..
My best bussy has an 04 S line and I ahve the regular S line.... not worth the $.
