Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and now the proud owner of a 2003 A6 3.0! I have a question about the power door locks.

I thought the doors automatically locked after driving around 15-20 mph and unlock when I turned the car off. A few days ago I noticed that the doors were not locking like I thought they had been. Am I crazy and this is not a feature on the car or is something wrong with my locking system. The door locks function perfectly with the alarm remote and with the buttons inside the car. Thank you all for your help!

The car is capable of locking the doors as you described above, but for me, on my 00 it was turned off when I bought my car. I/you can use a Vag-com to turn it back on. Now whether it was working and then stopped...I have no idea.

Thanks for the the response! So I'm assuming that the Vag-com is something I hook from the car to my laptop? I'm going to read up on them when I get home tonight. Any recommendations on where to get one from? Thank you very much!

You can recode the door locks so they automatically lock at 15MPH, but there are known issues with the 2003 module (for some unknown reason). Here is info about how to do it: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec36.shtml
