Default Question? Center console buttons

I am wondering if their is a touch up for gray plastic around buttons. I have a small black stain on it and would like to clean that up. I checked with service and they told me I have to replace the buttons in order to replace that plastic piece. More then $600 to replace all that....since its a little spot, I was thinking about doing a touch up myself. Any suggestions???

I'll attach pictures later on.

well im sure you could repaint it and that would be the only way but i wouldnt paint it with a brush id remove the piece and spray paint ... i think you talking about the piece next to the cupholder above the radio?? if you are talking about the buttons on the radio or climate control i read a thread and im pretty sure the only way is to buy a new unit unfortunately

if you are i had another question lol ... how can i make those bittons funtional all i have is the traction button and then 2 on either side i wanted to make those buttons functional

According to Audi service...they dont have a touchup paint for that...I have to replace all buttons there in order to fix the issue.

I am wondering if I can get some kind of paint from home depot or something but how do i match it since its a different kind of semi gloss plastic.

I've heard a tip about using this stuff on VW/Audi interiors, but I've never personally tried it.

You would need to remove the parts and spray them however - that is the only way you will ever get a good finish.

I dont think it's a snap on part that'll just come out unless I am wrong. Does anyone know if you can take out the plastic part around buttons? Thanks

Those little things drive me nuts. Between your MMI screen and this, I would be spending time at anasylum. Unfortunately I do not have any suggestions, just empathy. Good luck.
