Rear caliper/parking brake reset on 2006 A6

Can anyone tell me how to push the rear caliper back so I can put in new pads?

Some people have said there is a tool that turns the caliper while pushing or you need to connect VAB-com to reset something.

Any one know how to do it.

Thanks

YOu need VAGcom. C6 has electronic parking brake where you need the computer to retract the calipers.

Thanks for reply. Ok I'll get a VAG-COM. So when I reset the brake will it automatically retract?

Hxgaser you said the C6 has electronic brakes. I read on line "Audi unveiled a facelifted "C6" Audi A6 on 12 August 2008". Mine is a 2006. It does have electronic brakes but is it a C6?

To answer my own question. I see that says "facelift" and that the C6 came out in 2005.

C6 = 2005 MY to present
Facelifted C6 = 2009 MY to present

Thanks, I did find that after my post.

So can you point me to the correct VAG-COM I need for this? Seems like many
different versions etc. Also best place to buy one?

I have read good things about Ross Tech.
