Default Rear coolant flange removal frustration help please

OK guys so right now I decided to finally tackle that coolant leak that has been hounding me forever. Its leaking from under the intake (wonderful place huh?)

So far I've already removed the intake manifold using a write up I found over at passatworld.com regarding intake and crossover pipe removal however once I got the intake out of the way I'm having trouble removing the combi valves and combi pipe as specified in the write up. There is simply no room whatsoever to fit any tools to loosen the bolts to the combis and with the valves in the way I have no way of fitting my 5mm Allen to loosen the coolant pipe off the head. I thought I'd be able to just unbolt pry the pipe just far enough to replace the o rings and be done. Mind you its only one o ring that is leaking and its the one that goes into the water pump housing from behind but I still need to remove the whole pipe to access that o ring.

Anyone have any tips or solutions etc I only have this week to have the car up and ready again.

Thanks
