HELP! I have a 1995 A6 Avant that displays a Brake light Warning (and audible warning) on the center instrument cluster when the brakes are first applied. The only brake light not functioning is the rear center LED cluster. If I turn on the Rear Defroster the rear center (LED cluster) brake light turns on and once the brake peddle is applied the warning on the center instrument cluster goes away. The center brake light stays on until the rear window defroster is turned off or times out and automatically turns off. At any time, if the the rear window defroster is turned on the rear center brake comes on.

Very strange but I have heard that this has happened to other Avant owners - has anyone experienced this? - any advice on how to remedy the situation. ??
