my car like many of yours has the rear fog light the 2 that light up on the rear light valence by the license plate.


how do i replace a bulb if one is toast? i dont know how to access the light back there

 

From what i know some audi's only have one rear fog light and some have two. I think if you want to gain acces you have to remove the rear lid trim.
there should be a bolt or two check for them then use a elbow trim tool and pry it outwards, there are several triangle type clips holding in the rear lid trim.

 

I can vouch that my 2003 has two lights. We had a number of bad white-out conditions this winter so I checked it to ensure they were on. There was an earlier posting asking this question, and someone mentioned the older A6s only one a single light.

Yes 2003 was the 1st year to have both Rear Foglights
