Yeah, only the one side lights up.. well at least on my 1999 A6, thats how it is. I actually remember reading somewhere in the manual, that said that only the passenger side lights up.. so you should be good!

You can ad a 2nd fog light if you want. All you need to do is open up the light cavity on the passenger side of the assembly (using a Dremel), tap a couple of wires.

Here are a few pics of what I am talking about. This is a pre-2002 assembly (smoked style) being installed on a 2002 car (that had the glossy black style), so I did not have to tap any wires.http://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/599870.phtml

I hate to "change the subject" but I'm going to drop my 4.2 off at the shop for some work while I'm gone for Thanksgiving. What mods do you suggest that I have installed. I having a spoiler, springs (lowering) while I'm gone but since it's there....

Not much you can do to the 4.2 other than suspension (definitelydo H-sport sways if you have not yet!!!) and cosmetic stuff (wheels, tint, RS6 body parts, etc). If you are looking for more growl from the V8, maybe exhaust (Milltek or OEM RS6 Sound Enhanced). Anything specific you are looking to do? What is your budget?

4K or less. I have new wheels that I'll install, more than likely, in the spring. I did look into an RS6 body kit that looked great but well out of my budget. The spoiler will be just over $250. The springs will be just over $550. I agree, there isn't much more that can be done.

Get the GIACECU chip - $6-800
Get theGIAC TCU chip to change shift points - $6 - 800
Milltek and Borla make a nice catback for the 4.2, but do what I did and save some dough. Buy Magnaflow Mufflers, cut out the center resonator, and replace the piping with 2.5 inch pipe. Get the same advantages and spend less dough. All of that will get you around 15HP...Not much but what the hell, it already has 300 horses. Vagcom the tranny to hold 1st gear in tip. I think it is pf32000..BD is this right? Thats about it for the motor unless you spend big $$ and if you are willing to do that you should buy a faster car out of the box...

Other MODS..Coilovers, sway bars, 18"rims, window tint, smoked tails by HELLA, nice 3" tips on exhaust (magnaflow), Bigger brakes (crossdrilled)....PIAA fogs...debadge the car..
