On the rear liftgate there is a large plastic piece that has a light on each side (I think it's the rear fog lights or backup lights) where the plate is mounted. I have a 1999 A6 Quattro. Some jerk in a parking lot backed into this piece and broke it. Where can I go on the internet to find a replacement part and how is this piece attached. Do youse think I could change it my self. ritam

 

I think it will be tough to find that piece on the net. E- Bay maybe. As far as taking the tailgate piece its a pain but can be done. The hardest is taking out the sun shade,need to do this with a plastic like pry-bar and pry it out then take the screws out. There is a ton of screws make sure you get them all. The bottom part has clips. Good Luck
