Rear red trunk lights
 

How does one replace the bulb in the red trunk light on either side of the license plate?
A6 2.7 130K miles

well you need to take off the trunk lid liner, the carpet stuff on the inside of the trunk on the lid itself. its held on by metal clips, careful pulling it off its a biznatch. and then youll see them up in there. good luck

You do know that only 1 of the two bulbs is suppose to light up right? Your talking about the rear fog light I assume.

I thought both were supposed to light...Have had the car for 6 years and never noticed quite honestly..

Only one should light. Department of Transportation regulation.

it all depends on the year of your A6... mines a 99 and i have both i hooked up the other one myself, it looks better that way. what year is yours?

I have an 02...both mine light up...checked it 5 minutes ago
