Hi everyone, I'm not an audi owner but I just finished working on a customers 2002 Audi Quattro A6 Avant and I wanted to spread the news about the rear transmission/transfer case seal which is quite pricy from Audi but can be found online for $15 from Fastenal. For those that might ask, I was able to install this seal and it fit perfectly.

-Audi A6 quattro transfer case oil seal
-Audi A6 quattro transmission seal

The part is 4191930 and is described as a 40mm x 52mm x 6mm TC-BX Double lip, spring, rubber covered steel case oil seal.

I was able to get it with shipping from Fastenal for $15.85 to my door.

The prices on all of this is usually pretty astronomical so trying to help out fellow DIYers..... cheers!

 

Thanks for the info. Yes, dealer prices are generally high, but there are some cases where dealer prices will be lower than the others. Good to shop around.
