recoding the 2.8 a6 engine to think it's an a4
Hi, I just want to know if there's any one with a 2.8 a6 who recoded their engines to make the car think it's an a4, and what their results were.
I did this to my car, and I didn't really notice any change at all, so I want to know what others think.

I did read this thread several times, and I do read the threads I reply to. But most ppl in the above thread (almost all of them), said they got results, so I'm trying to see if there is someone, like me, who didn't get results out of this at first, and then they could tell me if I'm doing smthng wrong, or if it just takes time. May be you can tell me! Good observation though

I did it with mine and there isn't a like +100hp difference or anything, so don't go expecting too much. One thing i noticed about mine was that it idled at a lower RPM and was a little more responsive on the accelerator. Not a ton else. I plan to change it back to see if i notice anything different (though it's raining out now, so blah).

yeah I know it's not going to make the car faster or anything, but what I was hoping for was to get a better kick down response, because my car doesn't kick down at all, except if I really press the accelerator all the way down. It's so slow on kick down
