Hi, I got Audi A6 2.8 quattro 1997. I got CHECK lamp on my dashboard and I sometimes (if not always) find it veeeery difficult to start the engine after refueling. What I noticed recently - if I put little gas in the tank it statrs more easily. And each time I fill it up it takes approximately 20-30 seconds to start. I think the lamp ON and the starting problem is the result of the same problem. Any suggestions? thanx

 

why dont you get a vag com and pull the error codes??? If you dont have one go to pepboy (i think) they can read your codes out for you.

 

If you have an Autozone near you, they read the codes for free.

 

You may want to try clamping off your evap purge valve hose during refueling to see if that helps. Sounds like a problem with that valve thou.
