Default Removing front bumper

Hey fellas,

I just wanted to know if anyone has any step-by-step instructions on removing the front bumper from a 98' A6 Quattro. I just received some brand new headlights and I read in other posts that it's easier to install with the front bumper removed. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!!

check out stoneys links: its got some good stuff on just about everything for the a6. i used this link to find the diy clear corners link. i pulled my headlights without removing the bumber. it will make some loud sounds. just wiggle and look in, you'll see how it comes out. good luck

REmove the grills in the sides of the front bumper. If you look up in the grill youll see a bolt, most likely an allen, on each side. Remove that bolt. Also remove any of the belly pan hardware that goes to the bumper. Itll probably be easier to remove the entire belly pan. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and remove some of the torx25 bolts that hold on the fenderliner. Pull back the fenderliner. Theres 3 10mm nuts that hold the bumper on to the fender. Repeat for the other side. Slide the bumper off. Be aware that you will have to disconnect some wire connectors and the line for the headlamp washer. For the headlamp washer line, just push on the blcak clip and pull the lines apart.
