Replaced Turbos
GM, I have an '04 Audi A6 quattro 2,7 with 84000 miles on it. I took it to my dealer to have it diagnosed because of heavy exhaust smoke. They replaced my turbos but said they needed to take it to the Audi dealer because the car was not excellerating properly. After two weeks at the Audi dealer, they claim they did not know what the problem was. My dealer took the car back, and then said my lines to the turbos were clogged. They have to get me new turbos because they blew the ones they just put on. (they took care of the cost)
I must say that this seems very strange to me. Why wouldn't the dealer check everything associated with the turbos? It seems that Audi would have done the same thing. Why didn't the diagnostics tell them the problems. They have had my car for a month and it just seems that this was such a simple problem. I would think that they would check all systems related to the turbos.
Any thoughts?

it is not "simple" as your turbos sit under the car.... and to replace then they have to drop the motor/pull the motor/ or at least drop pieces that are in the way of the turbos...
should this have been checked by the guy pulling the turbos out the first time, yes..... all the audi dealer did was run an ecu diagnostics(logs) and i doubt that/those clogged lines would show through that
