reverse lights problem

hi everyone,

just bought a 99 audi 2.7t quattro, brilliant car and a happy chappy...................but.......my reverse lights seem to come on now and again when driving along the road !! this car is packed with gizmos i'm not used to, is this just me not knowing my new car or is there something wrong ?? please help.

Your switch on the side of the trans that tells the car what gear your in is going bad. Pretty common.
