Just got a '97 A6 Avant quattro. Love the car, with the exception of the road/tire noise. I have read some other "past" posts and there is no real "fix", without getting new tires. I am almost positive it is not the wheel bearings (seems to be the first and most reasonable response). The sound is just a dronning sound that progresses with speed and is at all four corners. Does not seem to increase or disapate with any manuevering, just directly related to speed. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has monkey'd with the idea of some soundproffing materials near the wheel wells? Could anyone suggest what material to use?

Any mods suggestions for the brakes?

Will be replacing some dash lights, anything else I should do/look at while the instrument cluster is off?

One more thing...since I bought used from a dealer, who got from an auction there is no owners manual. Any ideas on where to get one?
