Arrow Rotella T6 oil in the 2.7T?

Was just wondering who uses this type of oil in their 2.7? I heard that it is good for a friend but he has a Subaru and I well, have an Audi. So from a fellow Audi driver what do you think of it?

Do not use it unless it is 502 00 spec oil. I do not see Rotella on the list of approved oils.
You would be safe with most Mobil 1 full synthetic oils.

It has a mobil high mileage synthetic mix in it right now just because that what has been put in it for as long as I can see on the receipt sheets.
Would you happen to have a link to where I can see these approved oils?

There are bunch of people that use rotella t6. it is a good oil but it is a diesel oil. that gives it high level of detergents for cleaning purpose. But i wouldnt use it because audi has not approved it. the oil is not much cheaper than audi approved oils such as mobile one 0w-40.

cost of 0w-40 is $6.5 a quart at wally world= $32.5 for 5 quarts
cost of rotella t6 is $23 for 5 quarts. but is not audi approved.

i would spend an extra 10 bucks to stick with audi approved oil. peace of mind.

here is the list.

Yeah I wanted to use the diesel to clean out the engine since it has 200k miles would mobil diesel work as well? Or Castrol since that is what my dad has in all of his Porsches and Audis?
