S6 Avant AAN C4 failed MOT - help please?
My beloved failed it's MOT today on the OSF outer CV gaiter and the OSF lower suzzy arm bushes.
So what's involved in changing them both please? I am guessing both can be done more or less at the same time? I have the parts but want to know what I need to do and approx how long I should put aside to do it please?
Not a total prat am I, I changed the clutch on my driveway, on my back and made and fitted a complete front intercooler kit for the car, replaced wheel bearings etc plus many other bits and bobs but I just have never done any of these two problems
Any help appreciated
Jim

You probably are from UK.
I don't know what OSF stands for, but I would assume the "gaiter" you refer to is the outer CV Boot, and the lower "suzzy" arm is the lower Control arm.
It is much simpler to replace the whole CV halfshaft (which are pretty "cheap" nowadays)- most people do so - than replacing the boot, but there's a CV Boot DIY on Audiworld.com, which includes pics.
There's also a Front Control Arm Replacement DIY that may give you an idea what you're in for.
