Serpentine belt repair on a 99 A6

I have a 1999 audi a6. The other day my Serpentine belt came off, i need to know if there is an easy way to put it back on by myself. I read that i need to locate then tensioner to help release the belt completely and to put it back on, but i am not sure where it is exactly. I was told it was the bottom pulley on the left side of the engine, if so.. It's still kind of a tight squeeze to get a wrench in there. How can i put the car in service mode so i can get a better look. I want to do it with out taking off the front part of the car. If anyone has diagrams or a step by step process, it would be super helpful! please help!!

You may have taken care of this by now, but if you have a short socket and a breaker bar, you can access the tensioner without putting the front of the car in the service position. It's tight, but it can be done. The routing is shown in the attached picture. There had to be a reason that it came off, though, so you might have a bad tensioner or a loose pulley on one of the accessories. If you don't find out why it happened the first time, there's a good chance it will happen again.
