Default Service Interval Reset

I want to be able to reset the service indicator on my 2006 A6 and know that I need a VAG-COM cable to reset it with.

Does anyone know if it is possible to reset the service indicator with the VAG Commander v1.4 software in anyway?

I don't think that you need a vag to do it, but you should be able to. I reset mine by holding the trip timer button for a few seconds then starting the car and holding it for a few more seconds.

You have a C5. The OP has a C6 and does need a VAGCOM to restet the service indicator.

It's a C4 not C5 or C6!

Pressing the trip reset button does not work.

I haven't figured out how to do it with VAGCom.. but maybe someday!

I know it's built into the newer VAGCOM Commander software v5 onwards but wondered if it was possible with version 1.4.

The other one is does anyone know if the VAGCOM Commander USB cable works with ross-tech software. I think the ross-tech software looks specifically for it's own cable drivers but wondered if it will work with another cable instead.

Has anyone done this?

There is a way to reset your c6 with the vagcom . research it on the ross tech site, if the options dont come up you need to do a map search of your modules and send them to ross tech and they can send you the file that will open these options.
