Shifts with a bang

Hi,
I recently bought a lovely 1999 Audi A6 Quattro AWD. I am pround to say I own this great vehicle, however.....
I noticed that as I am driving it - specifically beteen 35 and 45 miles per hour I feel a bang or like a jerk (bumb)feeling , once Im past
45 the vehicle drives super smoothly smoothly. ( I also noticed if i go from 30 to beyond 45 very quickly, its significanly decreases the jerk feeling)
Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.
Thank you
BigO

RE: Shifts with a bang

I assume its an automatic?? it could be low fluid in the transmission/ needs a service or a software problem in the ECU, it will need a diagnostic to check for fault codes in the transmission ECU

Ok.. I know this may sound like a dumb question. But the car I bought came with no manual. I can not find the Transmission oil dip stick to check the trans oil ?

it sounds to me like it is trying to skip a gear then decides it wants to go into it

sounds like that gear is going
