Red face

ive only heard of oil burning problems and timing belt issues with audis and that leaning more on the turbo models.

overall would you recomend a - lets say 99-2000 a6- for a daily driver / long trips on highway?

i need to get me somthing nice to drive soon! lol.

im looking at the a6's, bmw 5's and mercedes but i like the a6 body its clean =)

It not a lemon -- It's a German automobile.

Never had an oil burning issue and always changed the timiong belt before there was a problem. Expect electrical and bushing issues.

As for long trips -- that's what Audi's do well. I drive 100 miles a day (50 each way) and the Audi means My butt dosen't get sore. I tried it in a Fierro ( almost killed me) Hyundai Sonata (my back will never recover) and a few others that I want to forget. Nothing compared to the Audi for comfort.
