some questions regarding RS4 style replica rims and 2009 led headlight units
Dear friends,
I have a 2008 A6 C6 and have been thinking about getting 19' RS4 style rims and the new 2009 OEM led headlight units. Since I am not really familiar with all the numbers and stuff, I wanted to ask some questions:
1) the rims I am getting say online that it's size (looks like) is 19 x 8?
Does the number 8 mean offset? I really want the rims to stick out rather than go inside like asian cars... So please correct me if I am wrong.
On there, i don't find any number other than those so I hope it is about the offset so that I can compare stuff.
2) Also I am wondering if the Audi A6 (2009-2011) led headlight units would fit to my car model. If so, is it possible/necessary to get a harness?
3) I also wanted to change the front grilled with the S6 ones. Is it hard to modify it or need tools to disassemble/reassemble stuff back together?
I really want things to be done by myself so any advice would be appreciated!!
Regards,
Kevin

I installed 18" RS4 replicas from www.purems.com and they fit fine. They do not stick out, although I probably should have put a slightly larger tire on to fill the wheelwell a little more, plus protect the rim. I'm not a big advocate of 19" rims unless you live in the fabled land of no-potholes and smooth pavement. Do a search and you'll see some other sources and rim manufacturers psoted.
