SUPER COLD in NH this morning. Had a strange sound that seemed to be coming from the dash when the heat was on. Hard to describe, but almost sounded like a "belt" sound? Anyone care to take a guess? Fingers are crossed that it was just the real cold weather........oh, 2002 Avant 3.0

Like a high pitched scream?Could bethe secondary airpump, cold weather does make them cranky especially if they're on their way out.

 

I often hear a low-volume squeal when the fan is on, from the bearings. It goes away if I turn the fan to max or turn the radio up. There was a post a while back on how to get at it and lube it.

 

I hear this as well. I just dunno how to fix it cuz im a car noob. =[
