how do i know whether my system is bose or just audi?
i cant tell, the guy i bought it from said it was bose, but i dont think it is...

 

Which model and trim levels do you have? I think you may be having Bose Concert, given, that you are unsure. I think, it should show 'BOSE' when you switch on the stereo, but in that case, you would have noticed.

 

i have the 99 audi a6 2.8 quattro it doesnt say bose when it turns on...

 

If you can send a picture that will be great. I doubt if you will have BOSE, otherwise, you would have at least noticed it on the speakers on the front and rear doors.

mine looks exactly like the one on the top but doesnt say bose when it comes on....

 

I thought the Bose system would say Bose on the speaker covers?

I was hoping that I would not have the Bose system so I could change the stock system w/fewer problems.

Just to clarify what I have: '03 A6 2.7T. I am unsure of what packages the car has.

I did not intend to hijack the thread.

 

The Concert system is NOT Bose. It can be set to Bose mode, but it is not a Bose system.
