Hi All,

I Still Have Missfiring on My 99' Audi A6 2.8.
I Changed The Coolant Tempatur Sensor Still Have The Same Problem.
I bought the USB vag-com. So Hooked The Up And Read For Codes and i find Code 16684 and 16688,
I Looked ander Measuring under group 16 and say i have 15 missfiring on zylinder 3, 12 under Zylinder 4.
i Claerd All Codes And Drive Again And Read Again under measuring Goup 17 Missfiring now under Zylinder 4 and 5, No Misfiring under Zylinder 3.
Anybody have Any Suggestion.
Maybe a Bad Coil Or A Bad Ignition Controll Module?
And I Still have White SPark Plug. Whats This Mean?

Thats a bad ICM for sure, its the thing sitting on top of your air box. Find which one is going to bank 1 (driver's side) and replace it.

 

Or better yet, swap the ICM connectors and see if the miss-fires change banks, then you know for sure its the ICM.

Hi I think I Find The Problem.
I switch The Spark Wire Around. Wire 4 to wire 3 and start missfiring on zylinder 3, zylinder 4 its fine.
So I think I need a Set Spark wires.

Oh you have the2.8L, im sorry the 2.7T has external power output stages or (ICM's), you have integral power output stages inside the three ignition coils on the front of the motor. So i would say the ignition wire that you swapped would be the correct diagnosis.
