Strange hum in engine

Strange hum in engine
2000 2.7t, I have noticed it in 5th and 6th gear, when I accelerate and I hit around2200-2700 rpm there is a very quiet like hum/vibration that I can hear from the engine. Am I just being paranoid? I have a CEL right now but I know exactly why, drivers side precat O2 needs to be replaced and the drivers side EGT also. Would that have anything to do with it? I am going to be replacing both sensors tomorrow.
Any insight would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

RE: Strange hum in engine
Here is one, I think no matter in what gear you are, engine sounds about the same at 2200-2700 rpm... Wel, load might be different, but I assume you have auto or shift the right way so,. yea, it's something transmission related IMHO.
Wait, might be that you are just shifting too early. =) If you know what gear your are going in, it's deffinately manual %)

Yeah its a manual, see the sig? 6MT.... lol Anyway, IDK mayeb it could be somethign with the trasmission who knows... Also when I turn my car off, it sounds like something is rattling, maybe a related noise?

I have a slight whine also that I notice more when decelerating. It's not my wife or kids. It think it's either the turbos or gear whine. No rattlng noise. I probably notice it more in the upper gears because the rpms are lower and the exhaust noise is not as loud.
I've had my clutch and flywheel replaced and had the transmission fluid, differential, etc fluids all replaced at the same time. Also the timing belt done. All work was the last 10k miles.
Now - who's the young lady in your signature. Your German girlfriend?
