Hello All,
Here's an odd question...
I recently received a tail light assembly that I ordered from one of this forums sponsors. Upon inspection, I noticed that the three Audi logos on the back of the assembly were scratched off. First question.....Why? Second question: Is Hella the OE manufacturer for Audi?

most cars use HELLA and the other no idea but does it fit?

I'll let you know if it fits... My main concern is that it's an OEM part. If I paid for an OEM part, that's what I should get. Why would they take the time to scratch off the logos is that didn't have to?

 

Follow-up...
The tail light assembly fits and is identical with the exception of the Audi logos and Audi part number scratched off.... But why did they take the effort to remove them??????

When I compared the new one with the one that I was replacing, it appeared that someone used a soldering iron to remove the Audi part number and the logos.... other than that, it looked identical....
