Question Tech Inquiry

Does anyone have a write up/walk-through for a vag-com headlight adjustment?

Will there be a code thrown if the headlight motors are malfunctioning?

I am awaiting my Vag cable and one of the things I would like to do first, is try to figure out why my headlights don't self level all the time. One points straight up, the other straight down. I suspect that the motors may be going or the gears may be getting stuck...yada yada yada.

I want to try this first before I take it into the dealership.

Any input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
E

There would be a fault code in the headlight control module if the motors were bad or off alignment. To adjust them you would need to go into the headlight control module and use basic settings data block 1, the screen should tell you to wait for a moment then tell you to adjust the headlights. Once you are done adjusting the beam pattern move to basic settings data block 2, it should say that the positions have been learned.
