First I want to say thanks for the help and link to ModuleMasters for work on my ABS/ECM....great turn-around from them and it fixed the problem big time!!! Thanks to all for the help!

Next issue.... it's a 98 A6 Quattro....Bose stereo with the 6 disc changer....not able to play any CD right now....is it possible to replace the CD holder itself and have it work or am I basically screwed? The last thing I reallyl want to do is take to some car stereo place that will charge me $2000 for work I can do myself....the radio itself works great....just wont play CD's...

Try this: get a can of condensed air from staples or whatever, I would suggest you first take out the magazine and thoroughly blow out the inside of the unit and the magazine, then load the magazine (filled with CD's) and while it's checking each slot keep the door open and blow inside the unit. If that dosent work take out the whole unit and take off the meatal sheel and blow out the inside. If this does not work you might have to seek out a new changer.

 

It might be that easy?!?!?! No way!!! I'll try it!!!
