thumping noise when excelerating

I have a 2000 A6 1.8 and i hear a thumping noise when excelerating(at a stand still). I bought it PreCert and the Warr is almost done. Would anyone know what the noise is from or if it would be under Warr?

if its under warrenty, just take it in, have nothing to loose. no point in driving around then ur warrenty expiring and the issue not resloved. let audi worry about it
