Default TIP to 6 speed swap

HI guys, I havent posted on here in months, but since I have started my 6 speed swap I thought I would let you know. Pics are being taken on this pull, jst like the others, hopefully I can make a detailed DIY for this swap at the end of it. My car is currently stage 3 and I have an spare block which is in build up for next summers project, conversion from bi-turbo to single BAT. I will post pics of progress, first 2.5hrs have the entire front end off, including A/C, all fluids drained, redy to do exhaust driveshafts, electrical and mounts. Should take no more than 2-3hrs more

That's a great undertaking, and documenting the swap will help or give the answer to so many who posed the question in the past.

Good job, good luck, and keep us posted.

5.5hrs later and the engine and tranny are out, my deal on a used 01e appears to have fallen through, so I guess I'll hve to buy a built one from Stasis. TC is already packaged and sold to a buyer in MN. I will post pics of the actual pull once I go through them all

Wow, that is some task to undertake.

The only better thing I could think of is a stage 3 engine in a widebody A6.

Good luck.

I found an 01E with 40K on it, currently being shipped to me , I will post pics once I mate th engine and tranny, I just have to get myself a rear diff, master/slave cylinders and clutch pedal, I already have an A box which will replace my T box, clutch, flywheel, shifter and linkage, front shafts, mounts. Katcoota, the only thing I could think of that would be better is a large single turbo A6 making 700+ awhp,

Let me know if you can reuse the front axles. S4 guys say that's a required part on the ti pto 6sp swap on the s4s.

Front shafts are a required part on the swap, and yes the final drive is different from TIP to 6 speed

How much would you say this swap cost you in parts?
