Default TIP CODE 00032 on a 98 2.8L?

anybody done this for this year? I heard 98 and 99 don't even need it, my car auto shifts at 7000 RPM, does this code enable you to ride in the red line?

I'm going to vag-com it but not sure if it is worth it.

yeah and with this tip code apparently you can run it as long as you want.. only 1st though, the rest will shift at redline.

no because the drive-by-wire cars work a little differently and are more electronically governed than you and I because we are non-dbw... we can already hold it til redline =)
