Default Torque Converter Engine Code

I got another check engine light on my 2002 2.7 A6 100k miles. Took it in and they came back and said the torque converter is slipping and not holding fluid PSI (apparently this prevents the car from staying in overdrive). They suggest replacing the torque converter and getting the updated seal kit.

This is after 2 weeks ago when the Gear Lever Circuit Board needed to be replaced (codes P1602, P1624, P1752, P0741).

Anyway, they tell me this isn't a sign of anything larger going wrong, but I thought I would check with you guys.

Also, as long as they are doing the torque converter replacement is there anything else I should have them take a look at or replace? Sounds like a 13 hour job or something so I assume they'll have the thing torn apart and pretty good access to stuff.

p.s. I did do some searching on here and found some talk that this converter thing may be overblown and that driving wouldn't necessarily mess up my transmission, but I guess I'm happier playing safe than sorry.
