Does anyone know why the manual states that this vehicle can not be used for towing. Want to put on a trailer hitch and see them on A6 wagons all the time in Europe...wondering what the problems would be if I installed one here.

tried that and because there isn't one OEM for the vehicle, they scratch their heads and won't give me a sensible response.

 

Could you scan and post the page from the manual?

The reason to advise him to check with dealers was to find eventual discrepancies between the users manual and the current Audi standings in that regard.

There are allways valuable pieces of information to be obtained communicating with dealers. It is upto one's will to use it.

Latest example - wiper blades - guess who had the best price in town? => dealers!

 

I guess your not talkin with Showkan, Blauparts or Force Five!
