We are looking at purchasing an A6 or an A4 to tow behind our motorhome on a tow dolly but haven't been able to find out if this is possible or not. We know you couldn't do this with a quattro, but thought it should work with a front wheel drive since the front wheels would be off the ground. Does anyone have experience with this or information? Thanks in advance!

 

Your logic makes sense as the rear end freewheels. Lots of A4 FWD in the Atlanta area when I looked years ago.
