Trade a A6 in for a A8

RE: Trade a A6 in for a A8
NO and very simple...
1- The A6 is big and fat enough as it is to slow us down and impact handling. If anything, I'd scale down to an S4 but I need room for my kids in the backseat.
2- The A6 is big enough inside for most people and certainly for me. I can fit my three little ones in the back. Well when they grow up a little more, might become tight and I might enjoy a little extra A8 room though I wonder how much wider the A8 back seat is... Anyone knows???? Maybe an old S8 would be nice after all

I love the looks of my A6. I enjoy driving a stick. Why would I want a bigger, heavier car with an automatic? The A6 is perfectly comfortable at highway speeds, plenty fast with a chip, a will top out at a higher speed than the A8 because of the chip. Plus I'd lose money on a trade and probably end up with someone else's problems. No way.

my dad has an 05 a8 4.2L ... wow that thing is sick... SOOO many luxuries ... i had an a4 and an s4 and i got the a6 because it was a lil bigger not for performace so maybe i am biased with this poll ... look up the a8 W12 ... i would trade my a6 in anyday if i had the income to buy a a8 w12 ( bulletproof!... suade interior!... TWO V6 engines!!)

Yup. I absolutely love the luxuries included in an A8. I love my A6 but if it gets wrecked or damaged, I'm going to get the A8. I also love the v8 engine. I do wish they had the diesel A8 here though. That one is a beast. Performance AND 40mpg.

When I bought my A6last summer I was actually debating between it and a A8, but the wife convinced me to go with the A6 because she liked the size.
I really do like the A8L though - and I have considered several times about stepping up. They are just so refined and packed full of luxury. I also think I would satisfied with the 4.2....yes the car is heavier, but when you are driving a A8 it is more about refinement than sheer power. If the only thing I cared about was "push me back in the seat raw power" I would have bought a Mustang.
The only problem with the A8 that I see is that fact they are so darn expensive. Even a good used one with reasonable miles can run upwards of $30k wheras a A6 can be had for $15-20.
