Trans flush
 

Im planning on bring my 03 3.0 to a trans shop for a "flush", i've used this place numerous times on tranny rebuilds for classic cars so i know they do quality work.

My question is are thereany issues i should be concerned about after the flush, or things i should do prior??

Well if you are taking it to the shop, there is nothing for you to be concerned with.
Based on personal experience, I would mention to your mechanics that they should use paper gasket for the transmission pan instead of rubber, most aftermarket transmission kits have rubber gasket and that ain't right :)

I had to pay dealer, 55$ [:@] I needed it the same day though. Two online places for audi parts I know (pelican parts/ blau parts) both have rubber. If you are doing the flush yourself it might be an issue. On the DPT transmission the pan is made in a stupid way. The actual contact area of the pan to the block is like only 5mm line. So when you try to torque your rubber gasket to the factory specific 10nm (7.3 ft/lb) the gasket squizes out and cracks all over =( The same thing, to a less degree, happens with paper by the way, so 7.3 lb is too much anyway. =)
If you are taking it to the shop, make sure it does not leak afterwards,... If the gasket cracks it's your mechanics problem ;)

I got the kit from Rockauto (dot com), they usually offer a range of replacement parts to choose from.
