I live in a gated community and we have a Transcore transponder system at our entrance. I have a license plate transponder that I have used in another car that was zip tied inside the grill so it coukd not be seen, and the gate would open 15 to 20 feet prior to arriving at the gate. I installed the transponder inside the grill of my 2016 A6 and the gate will not open until I am right at the gate. Anyone have any experience with this? The transponders look gross and I want to conceal it as I have in the past.
