How do I know or figure out which transmission is in my car? It's 30*, snowing, and I have no garage so i don't feel like crawling under the car right now to figure it out and the code isn't in the VIN number that I've seen. Can the vin be decoded to figure out which trans is in the car?

If you know your VIN-> you could ask any dealer for info.
Or look at the sticker in spare wheel well.
